A doormat is a chance to make a first impression with your guests. It’s likely the first thing that they notice when coming into your house, and as they wipe their feet on it, they’re probably starting to piece together how you live. If it’s unadorned and well-used, it might say that you have guests over a lot and you’re always throwing parties.
